Six dressed-state techniques

Entanglement generation methods

Each technique exposes only the parameters relevant to it — parameter sets don't bleed across techniques. Sliders and numeric inputs are paired for every field.

Technique 01

Jaynes–Cummings

Single two-level atom coupled to a single cavity mode — the canonical quantum optics model for photon-mediated entanglement.

g (coupling) κ (cavity decay) γ (atom decay) t_total

Technique 02

Beam-splitter

Linear optical beam-splitter interaction between two bosonic modes — generates entanglement from product coherent states.

g_MHz κ_MHz n_photons t_total_ns

Technique 03

Parametric (two-mode squeezing)

Degenerate / non-degenerate parametric amplification — produces CV entanglement via two-mode squeezing.

χ (squeezing) g_MHz κ_MHz ω₁, ω₂

Technique 04

Floquet sideband

Periodic driving creates sideband resonances that entangle a qubit and an oscillator without a direct coupling term.

drive amplitude drive freq γ_MHz t_total_ns

Technique 05

Dispersive

Off-resonant qubit–cavity coupling generates conditional phase shifts and effective entanglement in the dispersive regime (χ ≫ κ).

χ_MHz κ_MHz γ_MHz t_total_ns

Technique 06

Optomechanical

Radiation-pressure coupling between an optical cavity and a mechanical resonator — blue- or red-detuned drive selectable.

g₀ (vacuum coupling) κ, γ_m blue/red detuning

Run flow

How a simulation run works

Four steps from technique selection to PDF report, all brokered server-side through the portlet proxy.

1

Pick a technique

Dropdown populated from /techniques — also acts as a health check for the backend.

2

Adjust parameters

Each technique reveals only its own parameters. Slider + numeric input pairs for every field.

3

Run simulation

JSON metrics via action=simulate, then PDF bytes via action=report. Both calls are parallel.

4

Read results

Verdict banner, metric cards, plain-language summary, backend warnings, and inline PDF preview.

Output metrics

What the simulation measures

Each run returns a set of entanglement quantifiers. Not all are defined for every technique — the UI shows only the ones the backend returns.

Eₙ

Log-negativity

Primary entanglement witness. Eₙ > 0 confirms entanglement; shown in the verdict banner with pass/fail colour coding.

Tr(ρ²)

Purity

How mixed the final state is. A pure entangled state has purity = 1; decoherence drives it toward 1/d.

I(A:B)

Mutual information

Total (classical + quantum) correlations between the two subsystems.

C

Concurrence

Entanglement measure defined for two-qubit states (Jaynes–Cummings, beam-splitter, dispersive). Ranges from 0 to 1.

Δ

Dressed-state splitting

Energy splitting of the dressed states — visible where the coupling lifts a degeneracy (Jaynes–Cummings, Floquet).

⚖

Compare all six techniques

A single button triggers action=compareReport — the backend runs all six techniques under the same parameter set and returns a multi-page ranked comparison PDF shown inline.

  • All six techniques run in one backend call
  • Ranked by log-negativity + trade-off analysis
  • Same parameter set applied consistently
  • Multi-page PDF preview in embedded iframe
📄

PDF report inline + download

Every single-technique run produces a PDF report via action=report — shown in an embedded <iframe> alongside a separate Download PDF button.

  • Inline preview without leaving the page
  • Separate download button for saving
  • Compare report is also inline-previewable
  • 60-second timeout accommodates heavy runs
